Embossing and embellishment
06 Nov 2026
Form 5 have started their new humanities topic on Europe, which has already generated plenty of excitement in the classroom. There has been some healthy competition among the children to see who can name the most European countries and recognise their flags. It has been lovely to see their enthusiasm and how keen they are to share their geographical knowledge.

In French, the children have been learning the days of the week, months of the year and how to say and write dates. They have enjoyed practising their pronunciation and developing their confidence in using French in both spoken and written activities.
In art, Form 5 participated in an embossing workshop during which they carefully applied pressure whilst tracing the lines of a picture to make an imprint on a gold or silver foil. The overall effect is very striking and they finished off their work with a colourful gem for added embellishment.
