27 Sep 2024On Thursday, we celebrated our Modern Foreign Languages Day.
It was wonderful to see all the different outfits and countries that were represented and some members of the class took part in assembly too. We heard the Form 6 children speak Vietnamese, German, Portuguese and Romanian, amongst many other languages that are spoken at Russell House. During the Form 6 French lesson, the class were able to sample a variety of foods from around the world. Some were more popular than others!
In gymnastics this week, the children have been developing their backward rolls. We looked at getting the correct hand positioning and being able to rock backwards with a curved back. The children then developed their backward rolls using a ramp and then some children were able to try a backward roll to straddle, a backward roll to front support and even a backward roll to handstand.
