Netball

U11 ISA Regional Netball Championships

On a very wet Friday morning, the A team headed off to the ISA regional Championships at Lingfield School. We were full of nerves but raring to go. Our first game was against Oakfield, which we won, scoring an amazing 10 goals. This gave us the confidence we needed for the rest of the tournament. The rain didn’t stop us and we went on to win the next 3 games 16-0, 9-0 and 9-0, without conceding a single goal as our defence was amazing.

We went into the quarter-finals top of our group. We played The Mead, which proved our toughest match, drawing 5-5, meaning we had to go to golden goal. A great interception by Bea meant the ball headed for our net and with the perfect set up from Annabel, Georgie scored to win the match. The semi-final saw us win 13-1 with some excellent play by everybody, taking us through to the final. The final was a great, but very close match against Lingfield. Strong teamwork and excellent communication helped us to win 5-3, making us the U11 ISA Regional Champions and we will go on to represent London South at the national finals in March.

Well done to everyone but many thanks to Mrs Curling as without your amazing coaching we never would have won! Georgie

U10/11 A v Hazelwood

We played really well. We scored 19 goals and they scored 16. Bea played GD amazingly and made many interceptions to win us the ball. Georgie played GA and scored loads of goals! The team played very well together, but we needed to work at footwork and getting free. Jessica played extremely well in centre and she created loads of space. She also was player of the match. Annabel

U10/11 B v Hazelwood

We played well, but sadly lost 9-6. Georgia and Orla scored brilliant goals and Alba and Amelie were great at blocking the ball in defence. There was some great passing from Isobel and Isabella with lots of energy from Russell House in the third quarter. I think we played pretty well and I look forward to our future matches as we continue to work as a good team. Catherine was player of the match. Anya

U8A v Hazelwood

Lara scored 3 goals and Imogen scored 1 goal. Russell House won against Hazlewood and Imogen was player of the match. For the first half of the match, Lara and Imogen were scoring the goals and next time we need to improve our defending skills. Imogen

U8B v Hazelwood

Mo scored 1 goal and Evelyn scored 1 goal. The final score was 2-5 to Hazlewood. Emilia was the player of the match. It was a hard match and next time we need to improve our defending skills, although we were good at calling to each other. Erin

U9A v Hazelwood

On Thursday, we played Hazelwood. Sadly, we lost 7-5. It was a hard match and we tried our very best. Evie made a good attempt to get the ball to our side. Olivia was centre and Kiki was goal defence defender. They both played with so much energy. Our team made a great effort. We may not have won, but we didn't give up! We hope we will win next time. Isabelle

U9B v Hazelwood

On Thursday, we played against Hazelwood and the score was 9-1 to them. Although we lost, we did use a lot of teamwork and communication. Jaya

Rugby

U9A v Kings Rochester

They had two teams and we were able to win both games. The blue team we beat 10-8 and the red team 11-9. Everyone scored a try except George, who made amazing tackles.  I think we did well in our first game of contact rugby and put pressure on our opposition. Anthony

U9B v Kings Rochester

There were numerous tries from Sean, Rowan and myself, with stand-out performances from Sean. Congratulations to the A team who also won their match. Finlay
